IT Director Services

Recruiting a full time IT Director, for a company with under 300 staff, often does not represent a good commercial decision. However, the role of the IT director is still important.

This role provides the link between the Board and the IT department, and is instrumental in deciding the IT strategy (to ensure it meets the business requirements both now and in the future) and setting the IT budgets. It also involves overseeing the work of the IT department both from a service perspective and in delivering complex IT projects.

Nexxus can act as a part time IT director to help support you and your Board. We can work with clients on a retainer basis, submitting reports to the Board, meeting with the Finance Director or Managing Director as required. We recommend budgets and ensure any purchases made fall within them.

When it comes to IT, Nexxus can take the headaches away from the Board, meaning that technology problems are never on the agenda.

IT budget planning

Despite the amount of spend allocated to IT, there is often not enough expert planning in deciding how much should be budgeted: the finance team will rely on help from the IT department whose primary focus is in on fixing servers and supporting end users. This results in mid-year capital expenses that are often large and unexpected.

We do offer our technology research services directly for clients who want us to assess different options to meet a need unique to their business. This includes selecting and recommending a particular piece of software or a device that meets the requirements of their team.
